Karin Merazzi-Jacobson
Die Komponistin Karin Merazzi-Jacobson wurde 1957 in
Schweden geboren. Sie studierte in Schweden, in
Grossbritannien und in Italien und lebt seit 25 Jahren in
der Schweiz, zuerst in der Region von Lausanne, später in
Biel. Seit dem Jahr 2000 ist sie wohnhaft in Schernelz,
wovon sie die Ligerzer und die Twanner Kirchenglocken hören
kann. Die Kirchenglocken dienten als Inspiration und
konkreter Klangrahmen für ihre Chorkompositionen und ihr
Projekt “Was tönt im
Glockenklang?” an
der Nacht der 1000
Fragen vom 25. September 2010.

La compositrice Karin Merazzi-Jacobson est née 1957 en
Suède. Elle a étudié en Suède, en Grande Bretagne et en
Italie. Etablie depuis 25 ans en Suisse, elle a passé de
nombreuses années dans la région lausannoise et à
Bienne. Depuis l'an 2000, elle vit à Cerniaux, d'où elle
peut entendre les cloches des églises de Gléresse et de
Douanne. Les cloches ont servi d'inspiration et de cadre
sonore à ses compositions pour chorales et à son projet
“Qu'y a-t-il
dans le son des cloches?”, destiné à
la Nuit des 1000
questions le 25 septembre 2010 à Bienne.

The composer Karin Merazzi-Jacobson was born 1957 in
Sweden. Having studied in Sweden, in Great Britain, and in
Italy she has been established in Switzerland for 25 years,
first in the Lausanne region, later in Biel-Bienne. Since
2000 she lives in Schernelz-Cerniaux from where she can hear
the church bells ringing both from Twann and from
Ligerz. The bells served as inspiration and sound-frame for
her choir compositions and for her
project “What is
there in the sound of the bells?” conceived for
the The 1000 Questions'
